No this isn’t the first interracial kiss on tv. That distinction goes to the original Star Trek tv show where Captain Kirk and Lt Uhura smooched in an episode from the 60s.,.”Arena” I think it was called or some variation of it.

ive never stop to think, is this the first interracial kiss on American Television???? i dont remember any previous one?? im 24 so im might be confused, but seriously, i nver thought of this as a Black and White thing u see, maybe cuz i dont think of race much, even less with whitney houston, i always felt Kevin Costner was not that big to appear with her in the movie, but today is the first time i question if this is the fist kiss between blacn and white person on mainstream tv.

janetmadonnafan4life I agree with you personally. What you said is the same exact way that I feal anyone can record something and use machinery to make it sound beautiful but her singing live like this and sounding so beautiful is absolutley incredible, it gives me the chills throughout the song…what a song.

this without a doubt is her best live performance of this song better than any of her awards show performances or concerts that were aired, it’s the only one where she sang it like the recording with some minor key changes she should have sang it like this every time. it gives me goosebumps every time i watch it! spectacular performance!

Those shots are so beautiful that show her performing and the blurred lights in the background. This soundtrack and movie really etched in stone her legacy as THE diva!

Yes, Whitney’s the best! She’s so much better than that deteriorating/lipsynching Whitney-wannabe Mariah. :)
