I’m very happy that they’re making this movie! It’s a great musical and if it’s a success, many people will be inspired to check out 8-1/2 and the rest of Fellini’s work.

NINE is clearly inspired by Fellini’s film 8 1/2. Do you think anyone who knows who Fellini is would miss that? But if you’re under 30, you’re American and you don’t study film, the name Fellini is meaningless-so why use it to market a film? It’s sad that it doesn’t matter to anyone what the source material is. Chicago didn’t start out as a musical, did it? No, it’s based on a 1926 play by Maurine Dallas Watkins. Did you ever see that mentioned in the previews or marketing for CHICAGO?

Hey… are you aware this is clearly inspired by Fellini’s 8 1/2 (look at name itself) movie?? Honestly… how come this is not even mentioned here?? Just the reference to Chicago and Broadway… come on… It’s not the first time Hollywood adapts or produces remakes and won’t even give the original work/director/artists credit!!!

It seems great, although the song resembles the one from Chicago&Fergie’s voice sounds like K Zeta-Jones’ voice..but still, I’d love to watch it!

I’m excited to see this movie! The cast looks great, and the preview, although I feel like it really shows nothing, gives it a big spectacle feel, and looks very Chicago-like, which makes sense because of the director, I’m very excited. We need more GOOD Movie Musicals!
