Well these are my top movies of the year so far

    1. District 9
    2. Star Trek
    3. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
    4. Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder
    5. Monsters Vs Aliens

Though to be fair there aren’t that many other films that came out this year that I’ve seen.

I’m really looking forward to Up. I don’t know why we have to wait until October for it here.

Everyting else I saw was either mediocre (terminator salvation) or terrible (transformers 2, Wolverine)

Agreed. But, I thought X-Men Origins: Wolverine was mediocre. Not bad, though. X-Men 3, it was awful. It makes Catwoman look like Gone With the Wind.

If someone comes up to me and says “I like Year One” I won’t do the obvious thing like call them an idiot or anything like that, I will actually respect them more, (not because they gave their honest opion or anything like that), but because if someone likes Year One, they have been given God-like powers, because no mortal human being in the world could like that movie.

I don’t think X-Men Origins: Wolverine was bad. Sure, it wasn’t Citizen Kane, but it’s not bad.

And besides, I wonder what they’ll do in Transformers 3? Could it be Unicron, but Michael Bay could make that robot gay?

Yeah, the writing was pretty bland and the plot has been done a million times before in this genre, bad guy wants power, good guys stop them and kick their ass, yeah, amazing. But when you think about it, the two writers of this film (Alex Kurtsman and Roberto Orci) wrote the new Star Trek movie aswell, which kicked ass, at the same time as this movie. I’m sure if they devoted more time to this movies writing, the story and humor could have been way better.
