Chakori was the most super hit Urdu film on box office from Dacca (Dhaka) film industry, ex-East Pakistan (now Bangladesh). East Pakistan (1947-71) produced 210 movies, 49 Urdu and 161 Bengali from 1956-71. Jago hua svera (1959) was the first Urdu film from Dhaka and Pail (1970) was the last released film. Chanda, Talash, Millan, Darshan, Bhaiya and Chakori were other big movies from Bengal.
